  •       We have been a congregation in this community since the late 1800’s, and the church building has been expanded and renovated to meet needs over the years.

  •      Our organist is a graduate of Crane Music School, and our choir welcomes new members all the time.

  •      Special community-oriented services are held on Christmas Eve and Easter Sunrise; this year we will hold the second annual outdoor “Blue Christmas” service for those who are grieving the loss of loved ones.

  •      We participate actively in the Harrisville Area Ministers Association  (HAMA) ecumenical services during Lent, for Thanksgiving “Eve”, and for high school graduation.

  •      Holy Communion is open to all and is celebrated on First Sundays each month. Baptisms are held for people of all ages at the family’s request. The church building is also available for community weddings and funeral services at very reasonable rates.

  •      This congregation has long understood that the church building needs to be a community center—so for many years, there were two bowling alleys and a nursery school in the lower level, and the social hall started its life as a gymnasium where kids, teens, and young adults could meet to shoot hoops. Today, the bowling alleys are gone, but the Head Start program is still meeting there.   Other community-centered, non-profit groups are welcome to use the building as well.

  •      The spiritual health and moral development of children and youth of the community have long been priorities for this congregation. Partial camper-ships are available for elementary, middle school, and high school students to attend Christian summer camps; Vacation Bible School is held each summer, and Sunday school for children and youth is held on request.

  •      This congregation supports ministries to feed the hungry; we have supported the community food pantry for decades, and in recent years have hosted monthly Food Sense Program food distributions. In addition, local families have had additional nutrition support in the form of bread and produce donations delivered to them weekly.

We are a friendly congregation that welcomes all who come through our doors for any reason; we have a strong ministry to the summer residents of this resort community. We desire to welcome younger families and young adults into our church family, and we offer prayer support for all requests we hear.

You will find a warm welcome here; join us!
